Wanderlodge

Sold – FSBO Circa 1997 Blue Bird Wanderlodge RV For Sale in Charlotte, NC Under $90K

For the wanderer at heart. The first prototype Wanderlodge was built in 1963 by the Blue Bird Company, later named the Blue Bird Corporation. You might recognize the name, as Blue Bird built school buses.  Back in the early 1960s, the recreational vehicle was called the Transit Home. It went into full production in 1965 at a cost of $12,000. With more than 200 options, no two interiors are exactly alike. The last Wanderlodge was built in 2009 with a list price of more than $1M. It was that year that the Wanderlodge factory closed down.
